Through research we have estimated the annual Global Giving market is $800bn (with the majority in the US). Reports have indicated there are ~7m Non-Profit/Charity organisations. If we assume 33% are for tax reasons, scams or simply not relevant to global giving, this leaves us with 4.62m.
Total Addressable Market
The TAM is 4.62m charities times by what they are willing to pay. For simplicity we will say that the fee is £3k/year on average (much cheaper than what many are currently paying now). This gives us a £14bn/year TAM.
Serviceable Addressable Market
The 2022 CAF report shows 89% of charities want Technological change, but only 24% know how. That gives us 67%, and then if we discount all organisations making less than £100k a year (likely won't pay for our product), which is 78% in the UK. Then 22%*67%= 15% of the TAM.
Thus our SAM is estimated to be 1.05m Organisations. If we charge on average 5k/year to each paying organisation, that gives us a £5bn/year SAM.
Serviceable Obtainable Market
If we estimate a market penetration of 5%, 5 years post-product launch. That will lead us to a £250m/year SOM.
5% may seem high, but we believe it is achievable, especially with big ambassadors and figures in the charity industry who we will lobby to join this transparency movement. And if you still think it may be too high, feel free to change the % and calculate. This is a very scalable & profitable business model. Most of these profits will go into R&D, potentially tokenomics and helping charities further.
Our ideal first charities to onboard likely have between £100k-£5m annual revenue. This is because they are large enough to pay for the services, but likely not so large that they have a tech stack or team of people handling all of these services currently.
